It is important here to distinguish between two practice formats. Strict restrictions apply exclusively to contact sound therapy (vibroacoustic massage, when the bowls are placed directly on the body). Contraindications for the contact method include: the presence of a pacemaker, the first trimester of pregnancy, epilepsy, thrombosis, acute inflammatory processes with high fever, and severe mental disorders.
For the non-contact format (sound bath), there are no contraindications — it is a very gentle and safe form of influence. Moreover, sound therapy is excellent during the rehabilitation period after illnesses, as it gently activates regeneration processes and helps the nervous system recover its resources more quickly.
